From our riverfront views to our vibrant downtown, we're excited to be part of your ride and your story. Whether you're rolling in for a quick dip or staying awhile, know this: our community is already gearing up to show up big for you. Join Us for the Big Reveal! 

Be part of the excitement as Travel Dubuque and the City of Dubuque announce the 2026 RAGBRAI route through our city and unveil the official community logo! Join us Monday, March 23 at 2 p.m. at Reflections at Q Casino to hear remarks from Mayor Brad Cavanagh, Police Chief Jeremy Jensen, and Travel Dubuque. Celebrate Dubuque as the final stop on this world-famous bike ride and get a first look at how we’ll welcome thousands of cyclists to our vibrant city.

Is Dubuque an official RAGBRAI stop in 2026?

Yes. Dubuque is an official dip site on July 25, where riders will dip their tires in the Mississippi River as part of the route.

Where will the dip take place?

The dip site will be at A.Y. McDonald Park. Exact dip locations and logistics will be shared closer to the event. 

How can I stay updated?

This page will be updated regularly as plans come together. Bookmark it and check back often. Like and follow updates at Dubuque RAGBRAI 2026 on Facebook.

Can I volunteer or get involved?

Yes. Volunteer opportunities and ways for local businesses or organizations to participate will be posted soon.

Arts & Culture

Jones County is steeped in art history. Grant Wood was born in Anamosa. Known for his iconic painting, 'American Gothic,' Wood drew inspiration from the natural landscape he grew up in. Just down the road from Anamosa is Stone City. This quaint town once played a crucial part in the American Regionalist movement, having been the home of Grant Wood's artist colony. Today, you can take in the familiar sights and stop by the Grant Wood Art Gallery (pictured) in Anamosa, take a selfie in front of the American Gothic House Replica in Stone City, or see the Antioch School where Wood attended school in Anamosa.

How do I apply for a marriage license?

You may apply for a Marriage License at any County Recorder in Iowa as long as the ceremony is to be performed in Iowa. More details can be found here.

Will Travel Dubuque provide materials for my out of town guests?

Yes! We would love to provide copies of our Travel Guide. Please call our Travel Dubuque Welcome Center at 800.798.8844 to schedule a pick up of guides at 280 Main Street during business hours.
