Coming in the number one spot, this patio also happens to be one of the newest in the area. River Ridge Brewing, located riverside in Bellevue, Iowa, is a family-owned and operated brewery. With views of Lock & Dam #12, home grown brews, and family friendly lawn games, this patio is a must visit. (Did we mention they are pet friendly?)

Dubuque Marina & Yardarm

A local favorite, the Dubuque Marina & Yardarm is a full-service stop. From tasty food, cold drinks, beers on tap, and live music all summer long, this patio is a tropical oasis in the midwest. Traveling with your four-legged friends? This patio is also pup friendly!

Monk's

Located near the base of the Fenelon Place Elevator, Monk’s is a coffee/bar hybrid that serves up fresh brewed coffee and regionally brewed beer. Mix in a craft cocktail, and it’s not hard to see why this secured a spot in the top 10. Cherry on top? They area also a pet friendly patio!

Number four is Millennium Bar & Marina located across the river in East Dubuque. Serving brunch, lunch, and dinner, this riverside patio is also a place for recreation including kayak rentals. Check out their calendar of events for live music throughout the warmer months.

Situated in the rolling hills of Bankston, Iowa, Park Farm Winery’s patio views are hard to match. Home grown wines, wood-fired pizza, and an occasional ‘Daisy’ sighting make for a one-of-a-kind experience. (Haven’t met Daisy? She’s the pup that calls this place home and welcomes her other four-legged friends to the winery.)

Another winery on the list, Stone Cliff Winery is located in the Port of Dubuque and has a pet-friendly patio waiting along the river. With a menu of tasty wines and cuisine, this riverside patio is within walking distance of the National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium, Diamond Jo Casino, and Art Along the River on the Mississippi Riverwalk.

Another patio located along the Mississippi River is Catfish Charlie’s. Known for it’s waterfront access, good food, and micro-brews, this local favorite is also home to the American Lady Yacht Cruise.

Just 4.5 miles away from the iconic Field of Dreams Movie Site is Textile Brewing. Their 1906 built building was once a sewing factory and much of the unique history can be seen throughout.
