Whether through funding, sponsorship, or logistical assistance, our sports division and Sports Commission works with over 40 events each year. Key efforts: Dubuque Regional Sports Commission, Facilitation of America’s River Festival, Logistical Support to Events like Julien Dubuque International Film Festival

Guest Services

Our Welcome Center provides an in-person presence for the Travel Dubuque brand. Open to the public and located on Main Street, the staff answers questions, provides visitors with assistance, and offers support for the administrative office. Key efforts: Welcome Center Management, Travel Dubuque Merchandising, Customer Service

Destination Marketing Fee

Hotel properties who have signed up for the Destination Marketing Fee (DMF) Program collect a $1 per room, per night fee that is voluntarily paid for by their guests. 100% of funds collected go into a DMF account where funds are collectively allocated by a member of each participating hotel as well as Travel Dubuque staff to fund projects and initiatives that further support the local tourism industry.

Marketing Co-Op

Promote your business with the power of Travel Dubuque. This program was designed to be a resource and integral tool for travel industry partners. It offers year long marketing and promotional opportunities while benefiting from the CVB’s annual media buy. Our strategic marketing plan puts visitors in front of our partners through various mediums, driving them to this website and in turn generating traffic and interest for the entire community.

Brochure Distribution

We currently have 11 routes where materials are distributed. Communities like Cedar Falls, Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, Rockford, Freeport, Mineral Point, Dodgeville as well as the immediate Dubuque area. Each route is made up of approximately 10-12 locations (with the Dubuque area being significantly larger), consisting primarily of hotels, restaurants, welcome centers, attractions, convenience stores and other similar locations.
