Sips and Brews Around Dubuque
We loved the flights at Dimensional Brewing, the historic atmosphere at Stone Cliff Winery, the incredible Oktoberfest beer at Europa Haus, and the relaxed vibe at Jubek Brewing. So many places to grab a drink and relax in Dubuque!
After long days of exploring, the breweries and wineries of Dubuque were the perfect places to hang out.
Dimensional Brewing Company
Our first stop after a day of driving and arriving in Dubuque was Dimensional Brewing and boy were we not disappointed. This is the perfect spot to relax and unwind after a long day! The beer was fantastic, and I enjoyed getting a flight to try different kinds. The service and entire experience were top-notch.
PRO TIP: Order a flight and make sure to try the cider!
Stone Cliff Winery
The Stone Cliff Winery tasting room is a must-stop in Dubuque! We loved learning about the history of the building dating back to 1898 when Dubuque Star Brewing occupied the space. With a rich history of alcohol in this old riverfront building, it was only right that Stone Cliff Winery moved in in 2007. The tasting room is lively and beautiful. You can grab a glass, a flight, and even beer! Loved that there were lots of options and some food choices.
PRO TIP: Order a flight so you can experience more of their wine! Take a walk along the riverfront afterwards.
Europa Haus Restaurant and Bier Stube
If you only do one thing while in Dubuque, it has to be visiting Europa Haus Restaurant and Bier Stube. Walk through the front doors and you've stepped back into time. We loved the laid-back service, casual atmosphere, and incredible food. It felt like we were sipping beers in Germany! Definitely order a bratwurst and sauerkraut.
PRO TIP: If you're visiting in the fall the Oktoberfest beer straight from Germany is a must!
Jubeck New World Brewing
We stopped at Jubeck on our final evening and after a long day of exploring. It was the perfect evening hang-out spot! The service was top-notch, we loved chatting with the bartender, and the beer was great. I ordered the Octoberfest and my husband ordered an IPA. Both are great choices! Head here after dinner downtown to spend some time winding down after a busy day.
PRO TIP: Sit at the bar and chat with the bartender. Such nice people!
