Travel Dubuque Receives DRA Grant
Travel Dubuque is excited to announce it was awarded a grant from the Dubuque Racing Association to enhance equip the Travel Dubuque Boardroom with tools needed to present high quality and clear presentations to our partners in the travel industry.
“Organizations including Dubuque’s Sister Cities Commission, John Deere, the Iowa Knights of Columbus, the March of Dimes, Julien Dubuque International Film Festival and others, utilize our boardroom on a monthly and sometimes weekly basis,” stated Keith Rahe, President & CEO of Travel Dubuque. “We want each organization to have the best technology options available for their needs. We often work with companies as they come through the community who need complimentary meeting spaces for 1 or 2 hours. Our board room allows them the opportunity for those meetings, however our current technology does not meet what they require. This grant will allow us to exceed their expectations when they utilize our boardroom.”
Dubuque County’s travel industry continues to be an important economic driver, generating $351.76 million in travel related expenditures, 3,000 jobs and $55.89 million in payroll in 2017, according to a report by the U.S. Travel Association.
