First stop...Farmers' Market. Start the day at Iowa's longest-running Farmer's Market and grab a bite for breakfast at the Adobo's Food Truck and try their infamous burrito. Spend the rest of the morning walking through this historic nook filled with local shopping, historic buildings, oh, and the world’s shortest steepest railway, the Fenelon Place Elevator! (Pet Friendly)

What’s a fall weekend getaway without an apple orchard. Located just outside of Dubuque, this family-run stop is home to their famous apple cider donuts. (Good to know: Just a half-mile down the road is Schuster’s Pumpkin Patch.) (Pet Friendly)
