*Meeting must be brand new to the community, meaning it has never been held in Dubuque in the past. Planner must contact Julie Kronlage at the Dubuque CVB prior to booking event in Dubuque*. Offer valid for all new business booked after October 1, 2016. Offer valid for meetings booked in 2017-2020.

Lead Service

We will supply you with a listing of area convention facilities, lodging properties, attractions and other area providers for your event. These properties will submit bids to the CVB for your convention and we will compile them in a bid book to submit to you.

Media Contacts

The CVB is happy to send out a Press Release regarding your convention in our community or we are happy to provide you with a listing of local and regional media contacts.

Site Visits

We are happy to arrange for site visits to the properties you are interested in hosting your convention or meeting at. We are also happy to offer a complimentary site visit of the entire community.

Group Transportation

Assistance with arrangements for any transportation your group may need while in the Dubuque area can be provided by the Dubuque Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Dubuque Area Welcome Materials

With 2 weeks notice, the CVB will provide your group with Welcome Bags that are filled with local brochures, maps and a value card specifically for convention and meeting delegates filled with special discounts to local establishments.

Planning + Registration

The Dubuque Convention & Visitors Bureau will be glad to assist with planning and registration for your conference.

Promotional Information

The CVB offers complimentary promotional material to help showcase the Dubuque region to your event attendees.

Welcome Address Assistance

We are happy to provide your group with name badges with your delegate listing with a 2 week notice.

The Dubuque Convention & Visitors Bureau will be glad to plan for local dignitaries to provide a welcome address to your group.

The CVB will assist in planning spousal programs, area speaker referrals and options for group outings, dining and entertainment as needed.

Where are public restrooms?

You can find public restrooms at the Iowa Welcome Center located at 280 Main Street and also in the Dubuque Convention & Visitors Building located at 300 Main Street. There are also public restrooms at the corner of 5th & Bluff Streets


Where can you park a motor coach downtown?

Complimentary parking is provided on 3rd Street between Main Street and Locust Street across from Crust and also on 4th Street between Bluff Street and Locust Street.
