Ice Fest 2017: Featuring Children’s TV Star Curious George

The National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium in the Port of Dubuque will host its annual Ice Fest event January 14-16, 2017.

The Museum & Aquarium will present special winter-related programs daily throughout Ice Fest including historic demonstrations, winter crafts, snow and ice sculptures, and eagle watching.

Feature activities taking place during Ice Fest will include professional snow and ice sculpting, traditional Native American outdoor winter games, live animal programs, winter safety demonstrations, appearances by the Dubuque Fighting Saints, and more! Special guests include Dan Wardell, host of Kids Club on Iowa Public Television, with his friend Curious George. There will also be a meet and greet and author signing with Bret Terrell “B.J. Schwartz” and Maxx the Malamute from Plumery Tails.

Ice Fest is sponsored by Casey’s General Stores, UnityPoint Health Finley Hospital, Radio Dubuque, Grand Harbor Resort and Waterpark and Diamond Jo Casino.
