Parks

Nestled between limestone bluffs and the mighty Mississippi River, Dubuque’s natural landscape is full of wonder. In the warmer months you can hike, bike or paddle the many trails, take in the breathtaking views, or sail above the trees in a guided zipline tour. The winter months offer plenty of options for sledding, skiing, snowboarding, snow-shoeing, cross-country skiing and rinks for ice skating.

Top Active-ities in Dubuque

1 – Number One on our list is the Sky Tours Zipline – Enjoy a two-hour guided tour of Historic Union Park that encompasses all nine of the ziplines. Bonuses of the visit include a guided hiking tour out to the ziplines, you will be able to explore the heights and sights of the ‘Ruins of Union Park’ and will ride nine zipline courses within a span of two hours. CLIP, GRIP & ZIP, it’s their motto.

2 – Fever River Outfitters – Stand Up Paddleboarding. We’ve heard it’s a great way to get on the water and you will see the river from a whole new angle. Paddleboarding has caught on in recent years.
